Madyn Gassner - Secretary General

Hey guys, I’m Madyn Gassner! I’m a senior at East and this is my fourth year of Model UN and my second as Secretary General! I love going to conferences and getting to meet new people and collaborate on important issues! Outside of Model UN, I’m vice president of Project Happiness, and work as a gymnastics coach. In the future, I’m hoping to pursue a career in Astrophysics, but continue to help my community, the environment, and the world by addressing issues that matter. I’m so thankful for my Sachem Model UN family and all the experiences it has given me!

Lamisha Ahmed - Publicity Director 

Hey guys!! My name is Lamisha Ahmed. I’m in 11th grade and it’s my 3rd year in Model UN (I did 1 year at north, but fr EAST ON TOP ) This year, I’m the Publicity Director (I'll most definitely be making you take photos with countries you hate ). My favorite committee is OBVIOUSLY Security Council. Other than Model UN, I participate in several honor societies and clubs such as English Honor Society where I am treasurer, as well take a ton of APs! Model UN is a genuinely great place to gain experience and awareness of real issues. I’m so blessed to be a part of such a wonderful community and can't wait to continue Model UN this year, and next!

Hello, my name is Aarav Sehgal. I am an 11th grade student at East with three years of MUN experience. Currently, I am the Chief of Staff. Evan Uddin - Commissioner of Delegates

Hello! I am Evan Uddin, a senior at East. This is my second year as Commissioner of Delegates and third year of Model UN. Besides schoolwork, I am currently studying linguistics of extinct and living languages, primarily Middle Egyptian, Old English, German, and Mandarin. Model UN is an excellent way for people to come together and discuss real geopolitical issues and cooperate despite different perspectives.
